This was my second trip to Road America but it had been two years since I had last visited. The facility is very impressive and the track is a lengthy one that makes shooting video a challenge. Most of the weekend, I was zipping around on an HMC/KTM moped with my camera in one hand and my free hand steering and using the throttle. The weather was all over the place and Saturday I was covered in waterproof gear and had my cameras wrapped in plastic so that I could still get what I needed in the conditions. The KTM/HMC team is one of my favorite teams to shoot, the crew is incredible to watch and you can tell that the guys really enjoy working together and being at the races. This was also the first round for the new KTM RC 390 Cup and the smiles on the kids faces tell it all! It's great to have the opportunity to work with such a cool company like KTM that is giving the youth of the series a new place to grow and get noticed.
